What you need to know about our inclusive recruitment process.
Our reputation is built on the quality of our people. We aim to attract the very best talent, at the right stage of their career, to support our clients, our unique way of working and our business growth.
We are always as transparent as possible about our offer and welcome any and all questions from candidates throughout. Our people are highly intelligent, with strong social skills and emotional intelligence, and their values are closely aligned to our own. While our starting point is to ensure you have the necessary consulting skills and experience to work here effectively, your values and inter-personal skills are just as important to us. We look for people with energy, drive and a passion for the work that we do.
Here is what you need to know when applying for consulting roles at The Berkeley Partnership.
Our inclusive recruitment process ensures that everyone has the opportunity to join Berkeley. If needed, we can adjust the process for you, so that you can demonstrate your skills, knowledge and behaviours in a way that works for you.
If you’re successful at application, you’ll be invited to join a series of three interviews, where you’ll meet four of our partners and our recruitment manager. If we make you an offer, you’ll also get the chance to meet some of our consultants. Our interview process has three rounds, is robust and should stretch you, but we also appreciate that this is a two-way process.
Round One
This is about getting to know you and understanding your motivations for joining Berkeley, as well as starting to explore if you have the right experience.
Round Two
Here, we will deep dive into your experience and we’ll ask you to present two examples of client project roles you’ve held, followed by a Q&A from two partners.
Round Three
Finally, there will be a case study exercise designed to be as close to a ‘day in the life’ as a Berkeley consultant as possible and will include a role play exercise.
We want this process to feel like a conversation, as well as to offer you the chance to ask questions and build rapport with the partners (we’re all very friendly). Ultimately, we want to help you understand Berkeley so you can make the right choice for you.
We are passionate about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We want to be recognised by ourselves and those around us as a diverse and inclusive company that attracts, retains and develops the very best talent, where differences are harnessed, opportunity is fair and people feel safe to be their whole self. That includes ensuring we meet our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010.
We are an equal opportunity employer. We aim to foster a warm, open culture of belonging that enables our people to fulfil their potential, no matter their background, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexuality, disability or working style. We support hybrid and flexible working as well as offering part-time options.
