The Berkeley Partnership appoints Murray Smith as partner

Murray joined the firm over four years ago and has focused on leading large-scale multi-year technology and business transformation projects.

Murray Smith has become a partner at The Berkeley Partnership, effective 1st July 2024.

Murray joined the firm over four years ago and has focused on leading large-scale multi-year technology and business transformation projects. He has a deep understanding of IT transformation, gained from working in, and leading, teams through the IT development lifecycle and has driven Berkeley’s work with global media organisations such as WPP. His determination and resilience, combined with an ability to earn the trust and respect of those working around him, has made him a great asset to clients and the firm’s New York office.

Murray has spearheaded notable work in our corporate responsibility space – enabling Berkeley to partner with Robin Hood, a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to fight poverty in New York City. We have been providing coaching to selected executive leaders of those companies that are part of the Robin Hood network ever since Murray joined the firm. The programme brings a wealth of benefits to those executive leaders while allowing us to engage meaningfully in the mission of these organisations and the communities they serve. And there are always opportunities to join Murray at the Father’s Heart Ministry where he is a Supervisor on a Saturday morning.

Murray commented that his priorities as partner will be to continue to offer counsel to clients at the highest levels of their organisations:

Berkeley has always given me the space to spend as much time with my clients as needed to create the best impact and experience for them. I am proud to stand by my clients’ side to help them when it matters most, and I am delighted that I can continue to do so as a partner at Berkeley. I am also excited to continue to build Berkeley’s US presence in my new capacity as partner.”

Murray Smith, Partner

“I have a passion for the pro bono coaching work that Berkeley undertakes with Robin Hood to strengthen leadership within the non-profits they work with. Just as we do with our clients, the support we offer enables leaders to improve their organisations by solving issues and driving positive change. I am committed to furthering the corporate responsibility work Berkeley does, using our key strengths to support non-profits and their communities.”
