IT strategy is becoming increasingly important, driven by digital disruption. New technologies, which create an even closer integration of people, process, systems, are diminishishing the value proposition of existing goods and services. Organizations have to re-think their IT approach to enable the right capability to be achieved at the right time and right cost.
Offices can be virtual - and information sharing can be simpler and more accessible - through use of a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer. Organizations have more flexibility through buying cloud computing as a service rather than relying on owned-IT assets and static infrastructure.
